Course Details

Course Name: Goldcoast Holes: 18 Yardage: 6788 SSS: 72
Scenic and challenging 18 hole golf course bordered by Atlantic Ocean with panoramic views of Dungarvan and the Comeragh Mountains. Originally a 9 hole course but recently developed to 18 holes. Two mature tree lined fairways of the old course are cleverly mingled with the long and challenging newer holes to create a truly superb golf course.

Great Course with great views. 2 very contrasting nines with some shortish par 4's on the front nine and some brutes on the back - particularly 10 and 17.Deep breaths required while standing over your tee shot on the 15th!The greens were a little inconsistent and one or two fairways were bare but apart from that an enjoyable course. It is a pity that there is no seperate clubhouse serving the course as it is linked to the Gold Coast Hotel accross the road which is rather impersonal.

Having had the pleasure to play twice on this course I can highly recommend you take time to visit his lovely part of Ireland. As a player with an handicap of 7 this course offers a pleasant challenge.
The views over the bay to Dungarvan from the lighthouse and across he course itself are superb. The new 9 holes that have been added , and in particular those near the lighthouse, call for well struck shots from the tee to ensure
that you can get to the greens.
As you would expect in Ireland you are made very welcome. Take time to visit this 'gold mine' it's worth it.
