Grange Park Golf club is a good test of golf with well designed holes and plenty of trees, you rarely get a level stance.
It opens on the first hole with an excellent 437 yards par four, a good test when you are cold.
The greens tend to be flatish but with some subtle breaks. The fifth hole (stroke 3) green gives you a beautiful view over the surrounding countryside. The eighth hole 523 >yards par five is a good test, beware the slice out of bounds onto the road or beyond.
Nine, ten, eleven holes are relatively easy, but then comes the true test twelve, thirteen, fourteen, and fiftieth, all excellent holes.
Finally the eighteenth, what a test, an excellent hole, a 375 yards par four all uphill. Get your breath back before you go into the nineteenth. All together a good test, at 6421 yards total.
