Possibly one of the best municipal courses we have played with perhaps the most tortuous back 9 in council golf. Expert tuition is available from friendly pro's if needed (unlike us!!). The course in summer plays like a tour course but in winter should be closed a little more often due to inadequate drainage especially on the back nine. This course is at a mature stage and should be treated with respect at all times. If you fancy an easier ride then try Crookhill Park at Conisborough (no disrespect intended!!)All in all Grange Park will offer all golfers, including low handicappers a challenging and satisfying day's golf.

This is a mature parkland course. The golf is varied and a good test of your handicap. The layout is interesting with good views of the countryside. A variety shots will be needed: tight drives, long approach shots and some accurate wedge play. Although the course is municipally owned it is usually in excellent condition. The clubhouse and club is private but all players are made welcome. The course is closed to the public for major competition days of which there are about 12 a year.
