Established in 1890, Grantown-on-Spey Golf Club welcomes individual players and societies. The 5710 yard course has a par of 70 (SSS68) and was progressively developed over the early part of the century by A.C. Brown, Willie Park and James Braid.
The Spey Valley is a majour tourist area and when not golfing, the visitor can explore the Malt Whisky Trail, view the ospreys at nearby Loch Garten, fish in the River Spey or simply go walking in the hills or through the abundant pine forests.

Located on the NE edge of Grantown On Spey. From Aivemore turn right at police station. Grantown-on-Spey Golf Club is 1/4 mile ahead.

| Located in the beautiful Spey Valley, the course is a mixture of parkland and woodland with many magnificent views towards the Cairngorm range and the Cromdale Hills. Walking is relatively easy and the course presents a fair challenge for every calibre of golfer. Perhaps the most scenic hole is Murdie's View, the 275 yard 9th, a short downhill par 4 with the spectacular backdrop of the Cromdale Hills. When the heather is in bloom it is incomparable. I played 4 local courses and this would be the one that I would choose to join (if I lived locally). Excellent clubhouse facilities and friendly, too. Opening hole not too difficult and then across the road to holes that increase in difficulty without becoming too hard. There's one particular short par-4 which is like a painting. Tee below surrounded by forest and the backdrop being a fabulous mountain. OK, there a a couple of holes that are a bit plain, if you're being picky, but the overall Grantown experience is a fine one. Highly recommended.

Possibly the finest golf course in the north of Scotland. I have had the privilege to play this quite superb course regularly over the past 5 years. Demanding at times especially the 8th, 10th and 11th holes, but highly enjoyable and picturesque when you reach the drivable 9th Par 4. Highly recommended to both novice and high standard players
alike. Hospitality second to none with excellent meals available in a very pleasant and recently refurbished clubhouse.

Beautiful course with architecture from the last century but quite demanding. Especially the 13th hole is an example for every golfer of how a par 3 should look like!! Great fun for bargain fees.
