I have never played a course where all the par threes are as good as the one here.

A splendid true links .What with the gorse, the variable wind ,fast greens makes for an excellent 3-4 hours. The toughest section is the middle 6 holes. The 8th is a relatively easy par 6-thats to say its a darn hard par 4!
The start is relatively straightforward with 3 easy par 4's,As said above though, the true test starts at no.7-a 189 yard par 3 which must be hit to get on-it can range from a 7 iron to a full driver-thereafter,its hold your hat time with 3 400 yard plus holes to smallish greens-the wind is such a factor.
Give it a go-the pro is very friendly and the shop is well stocked too.

The Great Yarmouth and Caister Golf Club is really a good links course. From hole 4 through to 16 it is really a wonderful course, on the other holes the race track is in play, and I can tell you that the 'rough' on the race track is thicker than much I have experienced before. Personal favourites are the 11th through to the 14th hole where you are really close to the ocean on tremendous links holes, having no beach park between the course and the beach. Also the 6th hole (Par 4) is an interesting hole that can be reached from the tee; but the area around the green is difficult; so just because you are close to the green, it is not an easy par. Watch out for the gorse, especially in a stern wind when the tee shots tend to leave the fairway! In-accuracy is severely punished.
