The spirit of Alister McKenzie is alive well at this lovely course. Some of the holes are prototype Augusta ie wide sweeping fairways over a hill down to a green tucked across a stream. Also each tee is five steps from the previous green - another Doctor M signature. Memorable golf course if lacking some colour.

Generally a very nice, and surprisingly quiet course, with a number of good holes. The only fault I could find with this club was the pretentious attitude of one of their presidents. It is no wonder why so many clubs are closing or finding it increasingly difficult to operate.

Slightly let down by holes 3,4 and 9 which seem to be a bit of an after-thought, but overall some challenging holes in terms of length and tight fairways. Friendly staff in the pro shop, good facilities and less stuffy than you might imagine.
