It's short, its wide open and easy. If you cant shoot level around this bad boy, shoot yourself!

i am a member at halifax golf club, if you think it is easy play it in winter when it is windy no chance of playing to level!!!! the standard scratch is 69 par 70, that makes it loads harder too!

I too was a member. You may still see my handicap on the board, it's the one closest to 0.

We, the CM of Dendermonde in Belgium, had a short golf initiation at the Halifax Golf Club. We all had a great time. But the people who had to teach us how to play probably were desperate by the end of the day. We didn't even know how to hold the club. But my friend, Nele Cobbaut, and I, Eva De Waele, would like to thank everyone at the club for being so patient that day. We won't forget what you taught us! Greetings from Belgium. (Especially to J.P. You are so cute!)

I have played this beautiful course on many occasions. It is a moorland course within a rolling hillside just above Halifax. The course consists of 18 holes of varying difficulty with heather and ferns surrounding the edges of the course. From the first hole you gently climb the hillside playing across the valley and over two ravines which have small streams running through them until you reach the eleventh tee, you then play over the ferns and heather on to the top level of the course, and at this point the views are wonderful looking down onto the countryside overlooking Halifax. The view of Ogden Reservoir is also part of the attraction of the Halifax Golf Club. On the top level of the course you play the twelfth to the sixteenth hole then you come to the seventeenth which is a hole to marvel at. As you stand on the tee you look down onto the hole which is approximately 150ft below, depending on the wind condition you could take between a 9 iron and a 3 wood this of course depends on your handicap, but if you get this one wrong you could find yourself in a lot of trouble. My handicap is 21 and although I have on occasions found myself in trouble on this hole I usually play it well. This course is well worth a visit
