Having viewed the reviews of this particular course I am rather at odds with the assessments made.
Having played at this course for the best part of 28 years I can say that it has always represented a good test to club golfers and in recent years I have seen it mature to the point where I believe the only harder tests in the Halifax and Huddesrsfield area are perhaps Fixby and Woodsome Hall.

The back nine begins with a short par four. The green is the trickiest on the course and three putting is common. Eleven and twelve are short par fours. Well placed tee shots are required on both holes to attack the pin. Thirteen requires a solid tee shot, as the second to the green needs to carry 'Coppers Canyon'.
The next hole is a straight par four, but hookers beware, as out of bounds runs all down the left. Fifteen is a long par four into the wind, which will require two of your best to get up. the allowing par five is a dog leg with internal out of bounds down the right.
From the back tee the seventeenth is the hardest hole on the course. The tee shot requires both length and accuracy. This needs to be followed by a shot of similar quality.
The final hole is a tricky par three, which is a potential card wrecker. The nineteenth awaits, go and enjoy a few well earned drinks, and traditional golfers fare.
    regards.
