Since I last played hassocks there seems to be one significant change. And that is to the 17th par 3 where water now is present in-front of the green making it a little more tricky to play.
The course is still superbly run and well maintained and is a real treat to play.

The 13th is a long 212yd par 3 and once again heavy rough is on either side of this hole. Although pretty straight, the green is well protected and there is a hidden bunker to the right of the green which you cannot see on your tee shot. Play the hole short and you will be in light rough but because the rough is quite springy, it is easy to loose your ball as it tends to sink down into it and unless you've followed your ball until its stopped then you could well have lost it.
I played there last week again (26/07/98) and every time you go there is always something different about how the holes play which always makes this course a treat to play. For instance the greens were really compact and tight making every shot that landed on the green to keep rolling and rolling. The best approach was to chip and run but you had to be spot on to get it close. The facilities at Hassocks are second to none the bar and pro shop are all very well kept and maintained as soon as you drive into Hassocks you know that there is a touch of class about the course.
At the moment they are offering for the summer a great discount voucher for a round of golf so this saves a bit of money which is always a great idea, and also a sort of loyalty card which every time you take it the pro signs your card and after four rounds you get your fifth free!.
Hassocks is by far my favourite course and cheap as well!. Definitely once you've been you'll want to keep coming back for more. Definitely well worth loads of visits.
