You will not believe just how awesome our course is right now. The council's 'contracted out' course management arrangements from about 2006 to 2012 were not very successful to say the least. Now the council are managing it 'in house' are this has proved very very successful. They have made tremendous efforts over the past twelve months or so and now the results are there to see and enjoy. You will NOT be disappointed. A true gem....
PS - we have a fantastic Golf Club here too ... new members are always most welcome.

I've been playing Haste hill golf course for the last 5/6 years as a pay & play member & as a season ticket holder. this year the course is in a terrible state the greens are rubbish the fairways in bad condition. A waste of money other course's in the area are in better condition. Still waiting after 3 weeks for a response to e-mails sent

This golf course is in a state of neglect and has been so for a couple of years. The sand in the bunkers is of poor quality, akin to builders sand, and has been compacted over the years.
In wet weather, some of the fairways become rather soft and muddy.

Given the price and quality of the course, I'd give it 8/10. My score was a bit higher than normal, but that was mostly down to poor club selection due to not knowing the course. A few signs and maps wouldn't go amiss, but the course itself was in good shape; especially the greens.
From the sounds of it, it's probably best to avoid hitting your ball into the woods at the 13th. If you do, my advice would be to leave it.

Tough short course, front 9 are difficult, back 9 can be attacked.
Watch ot for the greens, very hilly, lots of borrow, not unusual to 3 and 4 putt.
Club house has a nice atmosphere.

I do not think that an open public area where children could be present is the place to carry out your sexual urges. You may be gay and I of course respect that fact but you also have a responsibility in soceity to conduct yourself in a manner that is not likely to harm others, especially the vunerable. Grow up!!!

I couldn't agree more, know one wants to hear about what you and your partner did on the golf course and I don't see why you feel the need to tell everyone. This is for GOLF!! it's not a gay bar

Haste Hill was the course that both introduced me to golf and gave me such an experience that I had to give up the game. Basically while playing a game with my grandfather back in the 1970s we reached a very short hole where you turn back towards the clubhouse (I think it was the third back in those days). I teed off and struck such a powerful shot that if it hadn't hit the pin it would have sailed comfortably through the hedges into Northwood Golf Club next door. As it was it did hit the pin and dropped like a stone into the hole. I knew I was never going to repeat this astounding feat so unfortunately my interest in the game sadly waned. Happy memories!

A very enjoyable course. Not too challenging, but enough to keep you thinking. Greens were well watered and in lovely condition for the middle of summer. You will play a lot of worse courses for simmilar fee. Certainly worth the money.

As a teenager 30 years ago spent many a summer day playing 36 or more. I have fond memories of this course and would highly recommend it, particularly to players who have just discovered the pleasure of this game.
