Fantastic, I've played hundreds of courses, so it was a pleasure to play this major challenge. My handicap is 8 and I found I needed to summon up most of my skills to complete with some respectability.

Hastings is the most difficult course I have ever played, but enjoyble for anyone who loves a challenge.
Hastings, or Beauport as it is known to many golfers in the area, is an extremely challenging course. Undulating is an understatement. Conditions range from fair to very good depending on the time of year. Wayward shots are severely punished. I regularly break 90 on most courses yet have only broken 100 once at Hastings in about 20 rounds over the years. Sorts the men from the boys and don't play if you wear a pacemaker!

I've played at Beauport many a time and I have not come across such a wonderful but challenging and picturesque golf course with spectacular breathtaking views of Sussex. The course seems to have gone under a major revamp because i have never seen it in such a great condition as it is now. Each hole has it's unique character with unforgettable scenery and wildlife. All the holes are lined with trees and you need to be straight with your drive or you will be taking 3 or more off the tee!! If your regular golf course score is say 90 then i would have to say this could take 10 off your score but don't let this put you off because if you drive reasonably straight you will enjoy a wonderful course with so much to offer.
