I am glad i saw the discription of this course. I was going to play a round there, some morning. My son has just bought a house in Templeogue and as i live in the region of Malahide i was going to take a trip on the M50. Thanks to You, I won't bother. Nothing worse than playing a round of golf on a course that has been neglected. I am a member of a golf course and i really appreciate the hard work that our ground staff do, and it shows in the condition of our course.Come on you ground staff of Hazel Grove, sort yourselves out, or let some other people sort out the CRAP COURSE that you have now.

I think you should try this course
Affordable, Challenging, Close to the centre of Dublin, No overcrowding,
Friendly welcome. Members have a very good record for winning in competitions.
Maybe the "Crap" player was not up to the challenge!!!

for the first time i played round this course and it's not for the beginners. Sopme very tough and challenging holes, with well bunkered greens on all of the holes.
Overall a good course but not for the feint hearted who don't like blind shots and hazards.

A little hidden gem in Dublin!
A nine holes loop that brings you up the Dublin mountains, with 15 different tee-boxes and 10 different greens for a challenging 18 holes round. On the turn you will have a gasping and unequalled view of Dublin bay. Only 20 minutes away from the city centre, beside the M50, and cheap compared to other golf clubs in Dublin. OB on every single holes (slicers beware). The greens are tight and lightning fast with devilish slopes (mind those down-slope 4 footers on holes 4 and 7, you might end up with a 10 yards chip back to the hole). Par-5 hole 9 offers a definite birdie chance for the bravest: island green protected by water, trees and OB on three sides - not for the faint-hearted. Par-4 hole 16 offers also a birdie chance if you fancy cutting the corner of the dogleg (260 yrds flight) and fly over OB and two hedges of mature trees (feasable - actually story has it that one the founding members got a hole in one there - did not have that luck on my round). Oh, and by the way, the members there are real Dubs - don't miss a chance to play with some of them as they will offer to you if you need a partner. That in itself is a unique experience to witness the warm and genuine spirit of Dublin.
All together a very testing loop that will test and bring the best in every golfer!
