A short, but challenging nine hole inland course. From the club house you firstly need to identify the bungalow with the honesty box for the green fee! As the annual membership equals 4 day tickets you will realise that this is excellent value for money.
First hole is a blind 256yd par 4. A slightly faded drive is required.
Second hole is from a high tee to a postage stamp green 82 yards away. Out of bounds directly behind the green makes it a challenging tee shot.
The third hole is 137 yard par 3 and if you avoid the heavy bushes on the right should present no difficulties.
The fourth tee is on the edge of someone's garden!! A 301 yard par 4 blind hole. Easy if you drive accurately over the ridge otherwise prepare to play lots of provisional balls!
The fifth is a 179 yard par 3 should present no difficulties. Neither should the par 4 sixth, which at 308 yards is the longest hole on the course.
The 7th is a 238 yard par 4 and the 8th is a challenging 167 yard par 3 blind hole where it is best to aim for the left of the greeen.
Finally climb up to the ninth tee, enjoy the panoramic view. A straight shot downhill to the green 192 yards away will leave you two putts for par.
The course is well maintainted and has a small clubhouse with toilet facilities. A most pleasant Highland course which favours the accurate iron player rather than the big hitter.
Even in the middle of summer there are no queues.

I couldn't let this delightful little course pass by without any recognition at all. Securely tucked away up a side street (possibly THE side street in this tiny town) is a little gem of 9 holes of golf. Short but tight, this test of golf rewards neatness of play - there's no need to thrash the ball off the tee, in fact if you overhit the 2nd tee shot you might be paying a homeowner a visit to explain why their window is broken. Maybe my recollection is clouded by the fact I eagled the first with a blind 7 iron from the left of the fairway but on a warm summer evening with the sun dying behind the hills like an orange flood I suddenly remembered why I enjoyed playing golf...........
