A mixture of traditional links around the clubhouse and parkland as you play nearer to the sea.
A stern test of golf particularly in the usual strong prevailing wind off the sea. Signature hole is the 14th with a tough drive with trouble on both sides and a green surrounded by high dunes.

I played at Hesketh in September 1997. A magnificent links where you can feel the breath of history. Simple, when you play well. Shows its theet when things start to go wrong. Short, but only when the wind was favourable. Par 4´s that felt like a stone-throw were really difficult to reach in two when played into the wind. Strategic small pot-bunkers and a few difficult blind-shots. A course to return to in your thoughts for years after. Warmly recommended!
