Unfortunately, due to members of this club harrasing you every time you hit a shot a full review could not be carried out on this Irvine course.
My experience of the course was that it was generally a good well maintained course. However, don't play this course on a Saturday Afternoon as some members don't like non-members getting in the way of their rounds. My group which included a junior member of the club was verbablly abused by another member of the club in his early 50's. He claimed that slow play was his issue but wouldn't let myself or my fellow players explain to him that we might not be as good as he is. As a result, our experience was shattered as after 7 holes we had to call it a day because of the foul and abusive language that average golfers like us had to put up with.
This is not a message which is Anti-Ravenspark, far from it. Before we were abused we had been enjoying our experience and i'm sure that if you play this course during the week then there will be no problem. But, no matter what level of golfer you are, you shouldn't be subjected to abuse and bickering from members who should understand and know better. They set a bad example for younger people and older people to take up the game of golf and as a result, i won't be recommending that you put your hard-earned money into playing this parkland course. Take your custom elsewhere to perhaps the excellent Ardeer club just 3 miles from Kilwinning. A far better experience can be had there.

i agree. i played with my father and some 60+ year old member was shouting at my dad telling him to hurry up, and this was on the first tee and there was someone playing 150 yards in front of us. Needless to say my father told him to f**k up you stupid old c**t. Apart from that it is a good course with good greens

for the two people who experienced that sort of behaviour i can only apologise for their distress. as a member of ravenspark i do not like to here these stories about the course, i am sure if you gave it another try you would not recieve that kind of reception. unfortunately for the public saturday is booked from 7am till 2.30pm for members of the club to play their medal so if your experience was after that time then it was not a true reflection of the genuine members of ravenspark who play there. you will be most welcomed into the clubhouse if you were to try again and im positive you will enjoy your round.

I play at Ravenspark and it is great golf course. The best hole is the 9th which is a long drive and then 1 to the green. It is a great place and everyone is really nice. The prices are decent and the course it tough. Good Luck from Scott

The Scottish Blind Golf Society visited the course at Irvine Ravenspark once again this week on our annual outing The West of Scotland District Classic Stroke Play Championship.
A wonderful open course, with lots of opportunity to open the shoulders and drive. The greens were fairly slow in wet and stormy June, but true nevertheless. The senior section of the club marked and advised us once again. Outstanding Dedicated and Interested in our efforts to play this great game.
Last, but by no means Least the food before and after the golf. No words can adequately express the pleasurable experience of the home cooking of Jeanette and family. Never mind going back, I would move to Irvine to be able to sample the home made scones, pancakes, tattie scones and the best hot and cold table ever. If only there was some way that we could return the compliment to these warm and kindly folk of Ravenspark Golf Club.
    Thanks for another memorable day.

A nice little golf course on the outskirts of Irvine in Ayrshire. It lies on the coast with beautiful views across the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran. Ravenspark is a course for all- from young to old. Ravenspark is typical of Ayrshire's links courses and a trip to Ayrshire for Golf could quite easily take up your full holiday. Best Wishes from Ayrshire.
