This was one of the most enjoyable days golf I've had this year, the greens where amoung the best I've putted on and the layout was challenging and beautiful. I would recommend this course to anyone, go and play it you won't be dissapointed.

Don't waste your time. Bad, bad course. Buy your wife some flowers instead and get the brownie points!!

Sorry friend,
I visited as a guest and being my first ever time on a course, extemely enjoyed the layout and the experience, and although we only did nine holes I managed it o.k and would certainly go back.

As Captain of IWGC I find Mr.Thompson's comments extraordinary. Either he is a priveledged member of a club that hosts 'The Open' periodically or he must have had a good reason to buy his wife flowers.
We have one of the most improved golf courses in Stafordshire with one of the most welcoming atmospheres in golf.
Make your own mind up. ( p.s. my wife is florist - and I spend my money on golf )

Steve and I dropped in last Sunday in the hope of a game. It was far more impressive than we had thought from just driving past in the car. Quite challenging with many blind tee shots and good greens, add to that seeing a kingfisher fly past us on the third hole, extremely enjoyable and great value per head.

Who is keeps moving trees into the most ridiculous positions that ensure that they cannot come into play!

I guess that the trees were moved back in 1999 for course improvement when they mature, I can tell you it has worked! The mature trees really make some interesting holes and are by no means ridiculous, so to whoever moved them in 1999 THANKYOU!!
