Played May 2004. Although the entire course is described as a links course, 9 newer holes in the middle of the course are more like what I normally think of as a links course, while the 9 older holes at the beginning and end have some parkland characteristics. In any event, the course is nicely conditioned and very playable. It is a good value.

I last played your course in August 1948 in The British Boys Championship, run by the founder Lt.Col.T.South and his wife Ada. I played for Scotland against England, I can't remember the score but England won. A few good players came out of that year, Peter Ossterhuis, Guy Wousterhome to name only two. The course as I remember was very well layed out and in excellent condition. The clubhouse was very impressive. I was surprised to find you now have an additional 9 holes, you must have gone over the dyke into Dundonald army camp. I have wonderful memories of Brassie and would recommend it to anyone, go play it and come away with your own.

Great course! Tough heather outside fairways, difficult approaches. A great golf experience! We played there in Aug 97 and the course was in a great shape. My favourite was hole #2.

I played this course during the girls Scottish under 18's it was very long and good. The rough on the newer holes was hellish in one spot - one of the competitors mums was stuck waist deep in rough grass. If I had a chance I'd definitely go back to play the course again but hopefully in nicer weather!

I would say that is one of the best nine hole courses I have ever experienced, the greens are the best well kept and looked after greens in the country at the moment. It is a very hard 'B' course with some long holes and some short holes.
