I spent a fantastic day here in August 2004. Excellent facilities, superb (and extremely large) practice putting green. Average pro-shop to be fair. Starters hut makes you feel like a pro, teeing it off in The Open. Nice, fair 1st hole to get you off to a decent start. I was paired up with a member (which saved me a couple of quid)and can I say how welcoming and friendly he was. Infact it seemed to be the "norm" round this course. My pregnant wife walked round with me and not an eyebrow was raised or an incredulous word said. In fact, we were both made to feel like Royalty. This is a fantastic course but what I really remember was the welcoming, "snob free" feel of the place. I cannot recommend the experience highly enough. PLAY THIS COURSE.

This is one of the best courses around Leicester, with long holes and great greens. The clubhouse is very comfortable and the food second to none. They are currently having all the greens replaced at a cost of £500,000 which shows their commitment to quality. There is also rumour of an Hotel & Leisure Centre being added shortly, so future membership might be restricted or increased.

Quite a long course with an open front nine which can be really tough with a high wind. The back nine rewards accuracy, because there is a lot of water, some of it hidden and the ball can easily roll into the brooks. The greens are hard but not fast. From distance, it'll run right through them if the ball's not hit high, and there's hardly ever a pitch mark no matter how hard you hit them. The sixth (Devil's toenail) is the signature hole, a par three with the green surrounded at the back by a 20 foot high gravel bank, topped with gorse, and two bunkers waiting at the front. Hardest hole I think is the twelfth. Water in front and left, and out of bounds on the right, and it's up to 450yards long, so you've got to go for it.
