Mr. Hellier is correct. Kington is a gem of a club. It could be fairly described as a links in the sky. You will not find a better value day out than Kington. There are a few holes which can match most in the UK and Ireland. The 18th is a cracking finishing hole for match play!

I played this course last year and I hope that I get the chance to return one day. Its not the longest course around but has great character and every hole is different and a challenge. I believe its one of the highest courses in the UK and the views are wonderful. When we played the course was in great shape and the greens were first class. Finally there are plenty of clubs around that should take note of the welcome that you receive at Kington. As a nomadic golfer I have never been made to feel more welcome as a visitor in a club house, a proshop and by members of the club.
    P.S. Mind the sheep.
