The Clubhouse provides changing rooms, and other domestic facilities. In summer there is usually a caretaker present who will be delighted to take your money and pleased to sell you balls. In his absence an honestly box for fees is used.
The course dates from 1907. During the Second World War it was used as a battle practice area and fell heavily overgrown. About 1948, 9 players interested got together, and each restored and renewed a tee, a fairway and a green.

Directions
From Dunoon on B8000, arriving down to Tighnarbruaich 25 miles at the sea, Go right to Kames, 1 mile; at crossroads go right to (NW) for 400 yds to the club notice.

A Moorland course with stunning views of the Kyles of Bute, Arran and loch Fyne. There are no bunkers but heather, whin and tough rough and burns present sufficient hazard. Depending on the wind, the first 110 yrd hole needs anything from a wedge to a 4 iron. Wild life abounds.
Payment is by an honesty box, unless a caretaker is present. If so he will sell you balls which you will undoubtedly need.
