Excellent facitlity. Extremely welcoming club, I have been going there now for 3 years to enter in there Festival week with my husband and friends. Staff very friendly behind the bar. Chef wonderful. Food fantastic and not too over priced. Pro and shop excellent, good bargains to be had. We will be back again next year.

Welcoming club. They have come through a difficult time in recent years having lost many of their greens to disease. New greens look fine and I wish them well. Older 9 (clubhouse side) do have more character than those across the road. Worth a visit if you are in area.

Quaint little golf club situated near to Bradgate Park. The front nine is a mixture of parkland and woodland and asks a few stiff questions if you are not too straight. I found the back nine pretty routine; it's obviously new and not well established. The greens were slow and not the best I've seen.
Lingdale was a disappointment considering the setting it has and I can only hope the improvements they are trying to make pay off. Clubhouse and food were not to special either, sorry.

Don't know when Paul Orton played this course, but in my opinion this is one of the best courses in Leicestershire, with three of the toughest opening holes around. The greens putt well, and in the summer very fast too. Memorable holes are the par 3 third, very tough with both length and accuracy needed. The fifth over the pond from the white blocks is awesome. The 14th at 461 yards is as difficult a par 4 as I've played. The 17th has a magnificent view as you tee off amongst the trees up the hill.
The clubhouse is a little dated but a new one is on the horizon, but the warmth of welcome makes up for any shortcomings.Paul Ortons views do not match mine, I thought this was a great course, and the food and warmth of welcome were one of the best at any club I have ever been too. He must have had a bad round, you know what they say about a poor workman blaming his tools or in this case the course!
All in all a great course to play.
