I urge my American countrymen not to disregard these delightful 9 hole courses. Lochcarron is a pleasant target golf challenge seldom requiring anything longer than a 4 iron.
Be prepared to be on your honour and deposit since there is no club house or attendant. I think one of the charms of golfing in Europe, particularly Ireland and Scotland, is the abundance of small, community courses such as Loch Carron. Most Americans go for the 'name' courses, often missing these small courses. Cheers.
