Course Details

Course Name: Lochwinnoch Holes: 18 Yardage: 6243 SSS: 71
Sitting in the heart of the rolling Renfrewshire countryside, Lochwinnoch's beautifully maintained parkland golf course offers a challenge even to the experienced golfer. The 18 hole course slowly climbs above the picturesque conservation village of Lochwinnoch, revealing some of its history in the textile industry in the process and offering stunning views over the surrounding areas. The course itself will concentrate the golfer's mind, with its subtly deceiving undulations and characteristics.

Do yourself a favour and dont play this coarse ,its the worst coarse ive ever played (and ive played a few belters ) You might enjoy this coarse if one legs shorter than the other coz most fairways are sloped from left to right or right to left no matter how straight your drive is yor ball usually ends up at the other of the fairway after rolling down it if you cant tee off straight bring a calculator with coz you will need it ,best hole is the 18th (coz its the last one ) although must admit it is a good par 3 ,CRAP!! CRAP!! CRAP!!

That is a pathetic review as I hav e played lochwinnoch golf course many times and is kept in beautiful condition. The hills make it a unigue challenge for a golfer with any handicap. I would like to know what your handicap is as I play off 36 and can manage fine.

Played the course last week and found it to be in great condition. Clubhouse has been completely refurbished, with new lockerooms and showers. Friendly staff also- A must if in the area.

Played there for 5 years prior to moving to California. I miss the hills and natural beauty. Would recommend it to any one, a good test of golf. Friendly members too.

Played here last week and the green staff have done a fantastic job here considering the winter we have had .The course is a wee bit hilly but if you can play to your Hcp here then you can play to it all most anywhere. A true test of golf and the views are not to bad either. One can see from Ben Lomond to Ailsa Griag on a good day. Have a good one.

Midge infested, slopes so much one needs a long leg and a short leg, good for skiing down when snow covered.
