To put it simply, Long Ashton GC is the best golf club in Bristol. Founded in 1893 it is a well mature, tree lined parkland course that's as traditional as they come. The atmosphere at Long Ashton is completely unique, you'll leave with an ambience that I've rarely experienced whilst playing golf.
The course is in mint condition, the greens are fast, fairways that are carpeted, a shear pleasure to play. Memorable second hole, a par 3 where you hit over a large dip into a green that's shrouded by a small limestone quarry. The third, fourth and fifth holes run along the edge of a plateau with magnificent views over the rest of Bristol. If you're in Bristol, then this is the course to play.
