Just thought you might like to know something about Lybster Golf Club - as Ladies Captain, Lybster is one of the shortest golf courses in Scotland, with full membership to St Andrews. We are situated in the North of Scotland, approx 40 miles south of John O'Groats.
There are currently around 118 members, which is small, but the welcome more than makes up for it! Yearly membership is 40 - green fees are 5 per day. Anyone looking to visit and wanting any information on where to stay etc., please do not hesitate to contact me at the above e.mail.

Well my review of Lybster Golf Club takes me back to the 1980's when I played regularly in most of the competitions. Yeah, when the wind blows it is tricky, so that means it is tricky most days. It's good that the membership is still 'keeping up' and hope you are all still enjoying your golf !!!

The Lybster golf course is really quite remarkable. Despite being the shortest course in Scotland, it is quite challenging ( especially when the wind blows ) I come from a small town called Morawa in Western Australia.
The rough on our course is pretty extreme but I thank God that we,ve no heather here. I was impressed by the great views of the ocean from the course and the genuine hospitality of the members there. They also pour a good pint at the Bayview hotel. Well worth a short drive of the A9 for the golf enthusiast.
