There is an ineluctable link between rhythm and balance. There are players like Tom Watson who have much quicker tempos. On the other hand, one sees players like Ernie Els who play with a slower tempo. Whatever the case, there is equilibrium between their tempo and rhythm, which ensures a perfect golf swing.

Playing at Mattoon & Norton is a privilege.
Owned by its' members the course and club house are well maintained and a pleasure to use. The bulk of the course is spread over a parkland setting with established trees set in lush turf.
A recent extension brings into play an additional nine holes overlooking the river Derwent.
All 27 holes are a challenge to the low handicapper and are within the grasp of a high handicapper.
It is a course that is really worth the visit.

Great course played in three loops of nine. Good society golf -9 before lunch-18 after -all in good condition with glorious views of the Moors from the 4th.
Wonderful new pro shop and a very progressive club hosting many regional and national competitions. Do go....everyone will enjoy it.
