Manor Golf Club is family owned and extremely friendly. Situated in the Staffs countryside, it has gradually improved and also extended since its formation in 1991 as a 9-hole course and driving range to what is a great test of golf for all golfers. The driving range has now been turned into a practice area and the clubhouse fare is definitely second to none.

| The Manor Golf Club is a par 71, 6,215-yard course set in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside, with picturesque views and an abundance of wildlife. Top Golf Course! Very very very impressed. Welcomed by staff on arrival, Excellent layout with not 2 holes the same. Bunkers aren't great but the views, wildlife and general condition of the course was superb. Greens were top notch, played early and the staff had already been out cutting. Worth a round, normally get it half price if you book online at £12.50 which is a total bargain. Will be playing this gem again, voted as Staffordshires Club of the Year 2010. If you want to try golf how it was meant to be, give this it a try. If you don't enjoy it you are playing the wrong sport.

Comparing notes with people who played the course before us it seems that a lot of work has been done. The total yardage has been increased to 6008 from the white tees; par is now 71 and SSS 69. The first thing you notice when you arrive is the friendly staff and members. I don' t think I have ever made to feel as welcome at any other gold club as I have here.
To the course, after a straightforward first hole, which I admit wasn't too inspiring it immediately starts improving on the second. From then on it just gets better and better. Each and every hole is different and I enjoyed playing all of them. There are some great driving holes where you can let it rip and some very short and tight par fours where you have to get your brain in gear and think your way round it. All in all I believe we have found a little gem and my playing partner and I are seriously considering joining the club. And you know what we played of temporary tees and temporary greens because of the frost, but just think how good it will be once we play of the real tees and greens!
Oh! and 19th is fantastic too. Very friendly, nice food! Try the Manor Burger with chips and we'll see if you can finish it!

I played Manor Golf Club in September 2001. We were made very welcome and the Breakfast was excellent. Do not be put off by the yardage, this a testing course with plenty to catch you out. The secret here is not to pull your driver out too often. Most holes are reachable with a Long Iron off the Tee followed by a Mid to short Iron. BUT!!! those two 600 yard par fives are LONG!! and can easily wreck your card. Watch out for the last hole, it looks short and easy with a dog leg right to a raised green, Do not cut too much off the right, there is trouble, as I found out. A sensible iron up the left should have been the shot for me. A ditch runs across the back of the green to catch you out.
Overall a great day, despite the howling wind and constant rain.
