Being a junior golfer it is hard to play many hard courses. I am a member at Catterick golf club . So when I came to brass castle I was shocked at the first hole and thought it was going to be an easy ride how wrong I was .........

Middlesborough Golf Club layout has been substantially changed and is now a much more challenging golf course. Not that it was particularly 'easy' with the previous course layout.
Many internationally recognised stars have played this course on their 'way to the top' by means of the North of England youth amateur championship, which continues to be held there to this day.
Pro golfers such as Sandy Lyle, Ian Woosnam and Colin Montgomery, to name but a few, all have fond memories of their contests here as part of their 'Apprenticeship'.
Although the course is in the middle of its recovery after major surgery it is still a worthy test of golf and shot making abilities for both the beginner and the competent golfer.
Pay it a visit before the word gets around.. You won't be disappointed.
