The course shouldnt even be given the name golf course. The course faireways are overgrown and very hackey. The worst possible aspect of the courseare the greens they were shocking some of the faireways looked more fit for a green. The course is apauling compared to hunley hall and cleveland you should get your course to thre standards untill i play there again.

This municipal course offers a good test for all golfers; the public are attracted by the reasonable green fees and easily accessible facilities.
The signature hole of the course is the par 4, 13th. You must carry the ball over 200 yards to cross the small stream, and even then you will be left with anything from a 180 - 250 yard shot into the bunker guarded green. The slopping green offers another challenge, as you have to land the ball on the left-hand side to allow your ball to feed towards the often-tricky pin positions.
This course is not particularly demanding but the 4 par 3's can provide any golfer with a challenge. Arguably the best par 3 is the 11th. This hole plays 204 yards from the white tees, and bunkers await the stray shot, left and right of the back to front slopping green.
The 3 par 5's are also a tricky test. The 8th is a 485-yard hole, which demands a long straight drive to avoid the bunker situated approximately 220 yards from the tee box. The second shot of about 250 yards requires either a sensible 'lay up' or a superb 3 wood to the flat green. Any poor shot to this green will be punished as bunkers guard the front and both left and right of the green.
The 18th hole plays approximately 485 yards. You must drive the ball about 240 yards to 'carry' the small beck. Out of bounds on the right and thick rough to the left demands two good shots to be about 70 yards short of the long thin green.
The best time to play this course is obviously in the summer. The down side of the course is the waterlogging of particular areas in most seasons and the greens, which are often a lottery to putt on!! Others problems lie with where the course is situated - youngsters often use the course as a 'short-cut' to playing fields.
I recommend that you play this course in the summer, as it will give all handicap ranges a test to their ability.
7 out of 10.

A fairly flat Parkland Course with large contoured greens is what makes the 'Muni' an enjoyable test for any golfer, young or old. With six of the eighteen holes guarded by Marton West Beck, strategic shots are often needed. The most challenging hole on the course is the Par 4 thirteenth, stroke index 1. The tee shot is needed to be played across water to the plateau fairway followed by a long second to a green guarded by a large bunker and severe slopes.
Arguably the best hole is the Par 4 sixteenth; the tee shot must not go right as Out of Bounds awaits. The second shot, one of the best on the Course, is played down hill to a raised green protected by bunkers right and back, a pond and thick trees.
Reasonable Green Fees combine with first class facilities keep a healthy flock of Patrons coming back year after year.
Easy access and a Pro Shop to boot make this golf centre a course to be played, especially in the summer months.

A seemingly simple, yet challenging, course. Very enjoyable if the course is in prime condition. The par 4 hole #9 poses a difficult second shot, usually played from a downhill lie, up a steep hill onto the green. The tee shot on the 13th is daunting as you are faced with a drive across a 'valley' with the landing area roughly 250 yards away. The long 18th also poses similar problems off the tee. None of the par 3's are particularly difficult but on the other hand few are particularly easy. The course itself is a decent course. The problem lies in where the course is situated. Locals taking short cuts across the course and greens without flag-sticks are not a rare occurrence.
