I have been a member of the club for most of my life. (im only 20) In that time I have had the pleasure of working in the club house and more recently over the summer periods, when I am not at university, on the course itself. It is such a priviledge to work on such an outstanding course. The two courses are completely different and offer totally seperate challenges. The courses are kept in excellent condition and are both enjoyable to play, but also are asthetically pleasing to the eye.

At it's best in May this course is the Main Minchinhampton course. Greens can occasionaly be indifferent depending on the bovine population. Ignore the rest this is the best!!!!!!

I found both Avenling and Cherrington Courses and absolutely lovely challenge! I was lucky enough to play with Kevin Brand on a wonderful Band Holiday Weekend earlier this year. Add to this the fact that I played the best golf that I have for a long time and it certainly ranks alongside one of my best golfing experiences so far.
Kevin is a lovely chap - and a relaxing partner to play with. I must admit without his help in club selection on various holes I should have shot the green on more than one (1) occasion! Thankyou Kevin. I live in London and with obvious work pressures that tend to engulf us all - I found my weekend I fantastic break!
I have mentioned Minchinhampton GC to all I play with, and shall continue to do so.
Maybe one day I too shall belong to a club with history, serenity, superb fairways a majestic choice of courses and, coming soon (so I'm told.) a Club House that is second to none.
Thankyou to everyone at Minchinhampton for a wonderful day, but especially to Kevin for being an understanding and wonderfully patient partner; also each and every member that I met who were all tremendously courteous and warm to a Minchinhampton 'virgin' golfer.
PLAY IT - YOU'LL LOVE IT! IT'S THE COTSWOLDS AT THEIR BEST!!!

Having been a member for a number of years, I can say that the Old Course is the way that traditionalists would have the golf played. Whilst the greens and fairways are excellent, the fact that the course lies on common ground gives that unmanicured feel to it. A real test of the abilities, especially on a windy day. Got to be played...
