The Moffat Golf Club was formed in 1884 and remains a private members club with a relaxed atmosphere where visitors are always welcome. Visitor and society bookings are accepted every day including weekends and bank holidays. The large clubhouse has modern visitor changing facilities with showers. Catering is available daily in season either in the bar or dining room. A games room with two full size snooker tables, pool, table tennis and darts is available to visitors.

Exit A74(m) at junction 15. Take A701 Moffat. After about 1 mile the Club is signposted on the left.

It commands magnificent views over the town and surrounding hills. The excellent condition of this fine traditional Scottish moorland course presents an enjoyable challenge to golfers of all abilities with its natural undulations and hazards. Deceptive approach shots combined with subtle greens ensure that scoring is never easy. The 18th is a spectacular finishing hole with a wonderful view of the town and hills. A 271 yards par 4 with a drop from tee to green of some 75 feet. Go for the green but mind the burn guarding the front! Having played Moffat golf club on more than one occasion, I can honestly say I have never had such a hard test of the game than I have at Moffat. It is a beautiful course, with splendid views. And by the way, watch out for low-flying aircraft!

I thought Moffat golf course was a really hard and interesting course. I really enjoyed my self the first time I went to play on it so I became a member. The view was fab.
