Played September 2010. Firstly, the entrance to the club is a narrow, hedge lined, alley almost at the exit of a Shell petrol station. Drive into the station if unsure where the entrance is as my tom-tom took me through the local housing estate in error. Now, to the course. A true gem is found. A great golf course with few weaknesses. Glorious on the eye. What a challenge, but if you're playing well then you'll be able to score. Any changes made since MacKenzie laid it down have been sympathetic. It was the opinion of our whole party that it was the best course we'd played in the area by some considerable margin. Highly recommended.

Played at Moortown Golf Club for the Volvo Captain Club Challenge in the spring of 97 - Club Pro, Bob Parry. Superb layout, and in excellent condition. Clubhouse and catering just what you would expect of a top Yorkshire Club.
