Newbiggin is a pleasure to play any season. A testing well maintained coarse, well exposed to the elements a good test of golf.

A testing Par 72 links course which is well maintained and worth a visit both in season and during the winter when it is rarely closed and does not employ winter greens. First five holes played alongside the sea (the water does come into play, and the drive over a quarry inlet at the 5th tests the mettle!), Holes 6 to 9 run through interesting dune and holes 10 to 18 meander back to the clubhouse on gently undulating links land where whin bushes and strategically placed streams must be avoided. Look out for the large 'St Andrews' double greens at holes 2/16 and 5/9. Recently refurbished clubhouse provides friendly welcome.
