Newburgh-on-Ythan Golf Club was founded in 1888 and was originally a nine hole course laid out on the Newburgh Links which is located along the River Ythan estuary and the coastal dunes. The course was extended in 1996 and the new nine holes - the outward half - is characterised by undulations and hills, with elevated tees and greens requiring a range of shot making. The original inward nine demands accurate golf from tee to green and is the epitome of the typical Scottish links course.

Clubhouse:- A warm welcome awaits you in this unique new Clubhouse - light and spacious and affording spectacular views over the golf course and across the Ythan estuary. Excellent facilities include a dining area, bar, lounge and games room.
Catering:- A wide menu (including a la carte) is available throughout the season in our superb dining area which has the reputation for fine food and friendly service.
Starter's Shop:- A well stocked shop offers an excellent range of golf equipment and accessories. Club repairs and custom fitting are available on request.
Newburgh is the perfect location for a golf outing and various packages are on offer. We will be happy to assist in the organisation of your outing or company day. Please telephone the Secretary/Manager.
Corporate Membership:-We have a limited number of corporate or hole sponsorship packages which can be tailored to suit individual company requirements.

12 miles (19 kilometres) north of Aberdeen, on the coast. Follow the A90 north (Aberdeen to Fraserburgh road) and turn right on to the A975 (Newburgh/Cruden Bay road). On entering Newburgh turn right at the Ythan Hotel.

Interesting and challenging links course with lovely views over the Ythan Estuary. Spectacular new clubhouse just opened makes this a hidden gem of the North East of Scotland.

I am a novice golfer. I will never forget the wonderful time I had playing this course twice in one day. The views are just out of the world. Be prepared to lose a ton of balls if you drive off the fairway!
