Newton Stewart is one of the nicest challanges of golf in the region. No two holes are the same and all have individual features. On the course you will usually find the hardworking and friendly greenkeepers. Since becomming head greenkeeper nine years ago, Keith Hardie has made it one of the best courses in the area.
The clubhouse has a very friendly atmosphere. The steward, Jimmy "the pro" Cloy provides wonderful food and is always good for a laugh.

An awsome golf course with the funniest green staff in the country. The condition of the course is a true testement to Keith, Fraser and Ivy.
The food is second to none! You could only describe it as unbelievable. Really! The tallents of head chef Jimmy Cloy don't stop there as he is also looked at as being club coach and manager. You have to see him to believe him.

A course, which continues to improve yearly as, greens mature. Particularly fine views as you advance up the hill, creating great variety in terrain over the eighteen holes. The signature hole is 'the gushet', a strong par three at the top of the hill, a deceptive shot into the prevailing wind.

Having just returned from Newton Stewart with a party of 12 very keen golfers I feel compelled to send in a review of what I and many of the travelling party from Manchester thought was a truly memorable test of any golfers ability.
Possibly not one of more notable courses in this area of Scotland, but certainly one that offers a varied and exciting challenge, particularly the 5 very fine par 3's and a host of very well designed par 4's set amongst this picturesque parkland course.
We all very much look forward to visiting again in the near future.
