It is perhaps the worst course i have ever played. Pitch marks were not repaired! I have not once seen a greenkeeper in sight, and this is reflected in the quality of the course! Many people who play there are not established golfers, so bring a good book!!! There is also a practice putting green which is never open- which is lucky for you because it is shocking. There are a variety of course near by which offer a better standard, for a simmilar price. The club's only saving grace is the driving range, which provides a number of bays.

The nine hole is really a pitch and putt and pretty awful to be honest - all tees are off mats and there are far too many kids on the course.
The 18 hole is much better though. This is not a top notch golf club and is not trying to be. It is however good value and though perhaps not the most challenging for experienced golfers. The price does make it a very busy course though especially at the weekends, though we weren't kept waiting for too long the people in front were rarely far ahead and the same for the people behind us. The greens and fairways were in great condition though despite the traffic.
Unfortunatley there was recently a fire at the club and the club house and restaurant burnt down. There is a bar at the adjoining squash courts which golfers can use though to be fair you would do better to come here and play, then go for a pub lunch/beer somewhere near by. I believe plans are underway for a new club house.
Practice facilities are reasonable, there is a 15 - 20 bay floodlit driving range - open until 9pm when we went.
At £21 for 18 holes at the weekend this is a busy though well kept pay and play and if you are in the area then an enjoyable round of golf.

An extremely poor golf course. Although the fairways and greens are in good condition i believe the course is not at all challenging for golfers of a single figure hadicap and the prices in relation to this aspect are way too over priced especially over the weekends.
