Golf is recorded as having been played at Oldmeldrum for over a hundred years. For many years a 9 hole course, the course was extended to its present 18 holes between 1987 and 1989.
The present clubhouse, newly opened in 1994, enjoys open views of the first and last holes from the large windows of its upstairs Lounge Bar area. Our club chef can provide a full a la carte and snack meal catering service. On the ground floor, changing facilities are available for members and visitors, together with showers, etc.
Jamie Carver, our PGA Professional, runs a well stocked shop and can provide a extensive and varied selection of golfing equipment and accessories. Trolleys are available for hire on a daily basis, and club hire by prior arrangement. A practice area is available on the course.

Directions
Approx. 17 miles from Aberdeen. The golf course is signposted, first turn-off right on the bypass of Oldmeldrum town centre on the main A947 Aberdeen/Banff road.

Course Details

Course Name: Oldmeldrum Holes: 18 Yardage: 5988 SSS: 69
A par 70 course, measuring just under 6000 yards, it presents a varied and challenging test of golf, requiring accurate play off the tee and a good short game on the approaches to the small and tricky greens.
The course has few hidden hazards, and what you see in front of you is what you have to conquer. The first and last holes, containing slight doglegs, are much more testing than they would appear from the card, and if you can start and finish with two fours, you can be well satisfied. The Par 3 11th hole looks more intimidating than it really is, but requires a clean shot over the water.

For many years now Hamish Love has been our Pro, not Jamie Carver.
