I played there in July 2004. Not really worth the visit, I'm afraid. OK for the absolute novice, but the lack of any significant hazards and general same-ness of each hole will bore even mediocre players (I play off 28, and scored 5 pars and 3 bogeys in the first 12 holes...). Stromness GC is a much better option.

If ever a golf course were designed for visitors then this is surely it. Superb views of the North Isles and Kirkwall can be seen from all parts of the course. The course is fairly flat and easy on the legs but is at all times a challenge to players at all levels. If you can visit, you should.
