Paisley GC is a cross between a Moorland and Parkland with stunning views across the Clyde Valley and Loch Lomond in the distance. The layout is perched on a hill however in the main, although not flat, this is certainly not mountain goat territory. The course does seem to suffer during wet weather although extensive upgrading to the drainage during 2000-2001 winter will surely make a difference. The greens are generally in good order and the fairways although still showing the signs of drainage work provide good lies'. This course provides idyllic surroundings, spectacular scenery and good test of anyone's abilities. The clubhouse offers all the usual
facilities with Pizza's being the house speciality.
Having played this course 3 or 4 times during 2000 I am now in the process of applying for membership, says it all really? All the best.
