I played this course twice in 1999. The opening hole is a 470 yard par four with the approach to the green being uphill, and this is followed by a 500+ yard par 5 and then a long par three with a burn cutting across the front of the green. Three potential card busters to open with! The burn winds through the course, coming into play on holes 1,3,6,9,10,12, and 13, where it splits the fairway in two. Some of the greens, in particular 3,7,9,13 and 18 have huge undulations. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience playing the course as it is a good test of golf. Also, the club's catering staff and bar staff could not have made our party more welcome.
