The next nine holes at the top of the hill are as enjoyable and as varied as the surrounding scenery, and represent a good test of golf. The 12th hole, a par four, takes the golfer from the highest part of the course back down to a green at clubhouse level, and is a very satisfying tee shot against the backdrop of the Clyde to a lower level followed by a good second to the green below.
The old fashioned par 3 13th hole takes the golfer straight back up the hill and any visiting party should provide a prize to the golfer who play his ball on to the green in one shot.
The remaining holes are good with a tough finish over the last three and the golfer should not forget to take in the views over these holes. The long 16th plays to a blind green and this is followed by the tricky par 3 17th which requires a long and accurate tee shot.
The par 3 18th hole, from the top of the hill back to clubhouse level, with the north bank and hills of the Clyde in the background is one of the most picturesque holes a golfer is ever likely to play.
After the game the visitor can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome in the recently rebuilt clubhouse. Green fees are moderate and represent excellent value for money.
