At prestatyn golf club the food and drink on a hot summers day is wonderful. The course is in even better condition, the greens are smooth and hold there line very well, the tees are flat unlike most courses, there has been some slight changes to the course over the winter E.G bunkers, and tees have been changed. I hope that you will play this fantastic links golf course.

Superb golf course with excellent drainage after recent heavy rains. Tee accuracy is a priority here and if you have a bed case of the slices you will be laughed off the course as you can easily complie a cricket score. Lovely course setup especially around the short par 3 14th which is sitated above extremely undulating ground which used to be a quarry. Only play here is you have confidence in your long and short game because this golf course will best every aspect of your game to its limit and a lot of improvistation is needed with the undulating links like course.

Decided to play after reading previous review and other good reports. My friends and I arrived at the course to be greeted by extremely heavy rain and high winds, but a very friendly welcome by the club pro. He explained the course layout and gave a few tips.
We decided to have a cup of coffee in the clubhouse before venturing out hoping that the rain would subside but alas it got heavier. We, therefore, agreed to brave the elements and go for it. On the way out we spoke to a club member who was a dead ringer for Arnold Palmer but with a cockney accent! He thought we were mad but as we had come a long way could understand.
Anyway, I am glad we did because we had a brilliant time. The greens are in superb condition and the drainage of the course is out of this world. Only the 8th green had pools of water on it but even that still ran true. By the 10th we were blessed as the clouds broke and we were bathed in glorious sunshine. This gave us time to dry out and enjoy the rest of the course in all its splendour.
Every hole has its own test. You think it looks easy until your ball gets caught in the wind and you see it drift into the thick rough.....Another dropped shot!
The layout is true links and the bunkers are in exactly the right places. The rough will punish you if you drift too far and some of the fairways are narrow but they are firm and in good condition. In conclusion I would say that this links course is a must if you are looking for a true test of golf with perfectly manicured greens. The wind and rain
may ruin your score but you will finish totally satisfied that it has been money well spent.
    Well done Prestatyn.

This flat, well designed, long course is always an excellent test of golf. The prevailing west wind is a joy to take advantage of going east and a struggle going west! The locals are friendly and if you are in the area, it's an experience you must not miss.
