This area is not renowned for courses, but puckrup is one of the best. Newish (circa '91) the saplings are already helping to define what was good land for a golf course - well drained and with quite a lot of good mature trees. Water comes into play on 1,2,4 and 5, (although three is the hardest of them) then most notable on 18, which is long par three over a lake, though not all carry. A great hole to watch from the bar, if only the architect had had a clue. the bar actually faces the car park . . . Greens are usually v good, although the fairways can burn up in dry weather. Handily placed at the junction of the M5 and M50 (turn onto M50, straight off at J 1, left off the slip road and you're there. Well worth stopping for.
