Course Details

Course Name: Yellow Holes: 18 Yardage: 5658 SSS: 67
The course follows the original 1895 layout. It was amended and lengthened in the early 70's. Seven holes have different tees for the second nine, given not only a change of distance, but a variation of angle. After the changes the amateur course record remained 67 (par) for 23 years, being finally bettered in 1995 and now stands at 65. It remains an exact test of golf.

Reigate Heath is a lovely golf course and Peter Aliss' judgement on it as a 'little gem' was spot on. It is an 18 hole course, but this does not make it any easier to play, and accommodates both juniors and seniors well. The 10th hole sums up the course, with a breathtaking tee-shot , where you can see the whole heath in all its glory. In my view better than the 'Eden' at St Andrews and every bit as enjoyable to play.
