Nightmare of a course
Very disjointed lay out and long walks between tees. Akin to playing in the mountains at times due to the severity of the landscape in which it has been squeezed in.
I'm a fit guy and this course is virtually impossible to play without a buggy.
Dont expect to get any refreshments at the half way house if you tee off any later than 1.45pm as it closes at 4pm even in the middle of July.
Won't be rushing back.

Whilst the 1st hole demands an accurate drive on left hand side of fairway as the fairway slopes acutely to the right resulting in your second shot needing to be accurate as the green has a very tight approach. The following five holes are relatively flat and undemanding.
After the sixth you start to encounter the more demanding part of the course, the 7th in particular requires a good drive and second shot otherwise you need to lay up with your second, relying on the 3rd to be a high standard to reach the green, which is well protected with many hazards including ponds, trees, bunkers etc.
Overall, the course requires accurate shots, rather than big hitters.

A marvellous test of golf.
The par 5 7th rewards a good drive to the top of a plateau approx 320 from the tee by making a second shot at the green possible. Any poor drive is duely punished such that only a lay up to the plateau is possible leaving a daunting 3rd shot of 200yds or so to the green. The following 8th hole is a picturesque downhill par 3 to a green protected with water on 3 sides.
