Played this course in APRIL 2011
Course is in bad shape lot of heavy vehicle tracks across course and lots of bare Areas on course.
Many bunkers are unplayable as there is a half inch layer of sand across a very solid base. ots of stones also inmany bunkers.
Finished game at approx 16:00 and went to bar and tried to order food. However food is not available after 15:00.
Would advise those who want to have a round of golf on good quality golf course with a bit of food at the end to give this a wide berth.

A great course which has benefitted from an ongoing improvement plan.
New bunkers and tee positions ensure that this is a great test for all levels of player. The greens are superb.
Clubhouse facilities are excellent and the quality of food and service are second to none. Highly recommended.

it is a lovely golf course and will surely challenge the best including the par 3's. The 6th is probably one of the most well presented par 3's ive played. if your in berkshire make sure to put sonning down on the itenary

over priced and overated. too many toffs there for my liking. they wanna get on with the golf rather than worry about what colour your socks are..
if you want my advice go elsewhere, if you want a hard time of it.come to sonning, and pay over the top for an average course

I guess you are not a member of any golf club and you don't play many good golf courses!
Sonning has rules like any other good Golf club, this is not a course you come to for a Sunday hack with your football pals.
And NO they don't let you wear your Man United sock on the course.

You wanna worry about your slice - not sock colour
