This is a good golf course, an afternoon or morning very well spent. I like the diversity provided, and the topography makes it challenging and enjoyable.
However, please please please do something with the drainage on the greens. every time it rains in the same county we have to put up with poor temps. (not a problem in summer mind you)
Sorting this problem would make this good golf course a very good golf course!
cheers, nath

The course was built early in the 20th century and is very well established. The mature trees and shrubs provide a beautiful back-drop to tight and testing fairways. Though the greens slow, they are a good test of golf and well-maintained for a public course. It is also excellent value for money with very modest green fees for the facilities on offer. My only criticism is the lack of water hazards, there is only one, and the slow play, though this is a drawback attendant on all successful public courses.

Hi
My name's Dave Bishop & I played your golf course just the other day. I can thoroughly recommend it as a good challenge - well kept & at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, I was well beaten by my mate, Fitzy!

Long well established Municipal course. The 18 hole course is quite challenging and has a few interesting holes, notably the 17th - a par 3 over a water filled valley to a raised green. The nine hole academy course Is one of the best I've found but both courses have problems with waterlogging during winter, and sometimes close.

My name is Paul French and I live in Australia. My home town is Southampton, UK and I used to play at the Southampton Munny every weekend between the age of 16-20. If any golfer out there wants a challenge and to play interesting holes then I would recommend you play Southampton. I play of 4 but I can tell you it was always a joy to get round in par figures. Also the clubhouse is great and practice facilities are good. If anyone wants further details E-mail me.
