Even though its a 9 holer it is still a top course, tight fairways, small greens and a lot of trouble. The greens are great, and all credit to the green staff who spend a lot of time prefecting them.
The club house is extremly welcoming with great, friendly staff. And exceptionable food.

Southport Old Links Golf Club is very friendly, even though it is a nine hole course it is procressing in advancing the tees to make it a harder course, even when you are off the course the clubhouse is very friendly as well, where it does fantasic food by Janette and a friendly bar steward Andy who serves drinks. The green staff do alot of work on the greens to make them as good as they can get them and the the whole course and they do an amazing job of it.

Southport Old Links is a fine test of golf, tucked away on the outskirts of Southport.
Nine holes (eighteen tees) regarded by many as one of the nicest but toughest nine hole courses in England. Not spoken of in the same breath as Royal Birkdale or Hillside or Formby but, who cares? The Membership is down to earth and very friendly and the Clubhouse very welcoming with fine food.
