Have played this 100 years old undulating golf course several times & it is thoroughly enjoyable. The fairways greens are usually to be found in good condition. Although only 9 holes, it is still quite long and many play with a unique flavour. Note that the Stafford Castle Golf Club course is being currently redeveloped & turned into 18 holes ready for maybe 2014/5 with a new club house. This may not involve playing any of these current 9 holes now. As such, play now whilst stocks last !

Having played Stafford Castle some ten years ago it was disappointing that after ten years no development had been made with the off course facilities. Having said that the course is still in excellent condition with the undulating fairways adding to the difficulty when attacking the green with medium or long irons. Only having 9 fairways and greens to 18 tees may cause the course to become crowded in the summer, but this course is well worth playing as each hole has a character and challenge of its own.
