No golfer should ever visit the highlands without playing a round of golf at Strathpeffer Spa golf club, unquestionably the most scenic golf course in the north of Scotland. The stunning views are worth the green fee on its own. A golf course where the natural terrain, nurtured by the greenkeeper and his staff, provide a much more challenging test of golf than the par 65 would suggest.

Founded in 1888, one of the original course designers was old Tom Morris himself, Peter Allis has described it as a jewel in the Highlands. Not just a round of golf but an education in the Scottish countryside and its wildlife. Of course, once the grand shots have been hit and the tricky putts holed, you can reflect upon them in the confinements of the clubhouse, where the beautiful views lead you down the strath all the way to the town of Dingwall. Enjoy the apres golf and the warmth of the welcome from the club steward Kevin and his wife Jackie. The exquisite catering washed down with the finest whisky will help you to understand why the people of Strathpeffer are confounded as to why they call St. Andrews the home of golf.
